I've never done this before, but now I must.
There is an FTSC-election going on for the filling of mandates which have become vacant in the bi-annual cycle.
All RCs are entitled to a single vote per candidate.
Usually I do only devote marginal attention to this, but not this time.
There is an RC in Z1 who has a long-standing grudge against several individuals in Z2 in general and against me in particular.
The man has made a number of nominations for the FTSC who are IMNSHO incompetent individuals when it concerns Fido-technology knowledge. He has turned this again into an "us versus them" thing, Z1 against Z2 where in fact the technical aspect of the job is bypassed. He has played this game for years and only due to the sheer number of votes by people with a brain, in all zones, has his plan never materialized.
Within hours of voting opening, he cast as predicted his vote so-called based on a poll of his region, voting "no" for 3 people in this particular election who actually kept the FTSC going for years: Bjorn Felten, Michiel van der Vlist and Alexey Vissarionov (I hope I spelled it right).
Please help stop this madness and encourage your RC to defer casting votes in negativity.
I have a personal opinion on who should get a "yes" and who should get a "no" but as a ZC I don't think it is my duty nor mandate to make that publically known ... but you may always ask me in netmail.
