My take on this is that if a ZC sits on the nodelist and on the netmail and on the echomail and on the filedistribution and his/her system craps, then then net slows to a stop, not gentle, but sudden.
Zone-2 has spearheaded the Fidoweb. Now we're working on avoiding disasters with the nodelist.
