I have "never" bought a new computer, always built them myself. Well, a laptop, yes!
The crap seemed to be that so many computer business have closed shop here and it's not all that easy to get replacement parts.
However, with a lot of carefull shifting old parts around from the box in the garage where a lot of us have been hoarding these parts, the machine is "up" again ... on Monday it just stopped. Power-off and that was it.
Now there's another machine here with the same motherboard bought on the same day as the one that was malfunctioning the day before yesterday ... wzll ... it started doing odd things too ... like not booting anymore and being hung in "Verifying DMI Pool Data" with a lot of disk activity.
