After the down-time due to a faulty HD some 2 weeks ago, the system seemed up again with a replacement HD but it doesn't look like it is "the" solution.
A number of anomalies have been detected such as the drive sometimes slowing down for a stop and then spinning-up again. During that time it freezes up.
"Yes, Joe Delahaye, I know how to install a drive" ...
It seems old hardware remains old hardware, whatever its source. I think 2:292/854 is at the moment not stable enough but it'll take until at least Monday for me to deal with it.
So, if anythings happens over the week-end and this system becomes unresponsive, give it some time and it'll be dealt with as of next week Monday.
