Bob (again),

RB> I wasn't aware that the UK and the USA were connected by large land
RB> borders. Thank you for this insight.

Continental drift ... England slowly is sliding towards North America so eventually in x million of years it will show-up off the coast of New Jersey. The Queen will then claim the crown of her colonies back ... we all expect her to live that long too ...

RB> Ms. May is not a dictator, whatever you may think. She has parliament
RB> (both houses) to consider and the law of the land. It's not her choice to
RB> abdicate Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

May is not Thather either ... close your eyes when you hear her speak and the similarity is striking. Here rethoric doesn't make her a Thatcher anyway, it takes a lot more.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised when in the middle of her Brexit negotiations her government will collapse from under her and someone else will become the Prime Minister with a pro-Europe platform. Now "that" would be hilarious.

RB>RB>> Those are about as likely as other EU countries, tired of having
RB>RB>> their internal affairs dictated by bureaucrats in Brussels, deciding
RB>RB>> to leave the EU behind them as the UK plans to.

Nobody will in their right mind leave and there only is a Brexit because on election day a majority of people went picknicking in the park rather than visiting a polling station first because they figured it wouldn't happen.

Have the same referendum today then tomorrow we wouldn't be having this discussion at all. No May either ... (why did her parents name her Theresa? April or June would have been so much more fun)

RB>MV> So why is Texas still part of the US?

RB> Maybe you missed it, but they seceeded from the Union during the Civil
RB> War ;-)

Something must have happened because they're still there ... lost that war perhaps?
