The root of the EU wa an attempt to bring foes together and create an economic environment that would keep 'm from going to war ... again and again and again ,,,
So far that effort worked ... 70 years of no war between the participating countries... at a cost way lower than war.
Please be reminded that the UK only 2 years ago finished paying-off its war debt from ... WW1.
