I'm afraid that some kind of police corp could "misunderstand" with or without intention the GDPR.
Remember the Italian Crackdown or FidoBurst, I know that you still remember that the most of the italian nodes were blowed out by a blind italian police corp looked at only to an easy public recognition. :(
IMHO Fidonet now is only a small buzz through the internet simphony but it's easy to blame it for the problems of the "others". So I think it's a thing to not understimate.
