AV>> That's all the empathy deserved by people proposing any and all overthrows.
BF> I'm not sure what you are meaning. From what I understand, the Ukraine is run by a self-appointed, illegal, western BF> sponsored, neo-nazi government. If the Ukrainian people want to overthrow that government, I think it's within their BF> rights to do so.
You're using wrong information sources. Me and all my Kiev friends supports new government. We have some discrepancy in personalities but it's not significant. Most of Kiev citizents speak russian, my mother is russian and my native language is russian. What nazi are you about? And all these people are against russian invasion. We do not need russian defence, did not ask about it and will fight in case of invasion.
BF> But I can say this: the western press is *not* reporting the full story about Ukraine. They are for instance talking BF> about a Russian invasion, when in fact it's just a matter of moving some of the 26,500 troops that are already there, and BF> have been for many years -- by treaty with the old, legitimate Ukraine government.
This is not true. New ukrainian government accepts all existing international treaties. Russia violates the treaty. It's not allowed to move russian military technics on Crimea outside Sebastopol, but there are armored troop-carriers, helicopters and troops in many Crimea cities and towns. Without distinctive marks but it's definitely russians.
BF> My guess is that this is all about USA's old Russia hatred. But when US secretary of state, Kelly, accuses Russia of BF> invading Ukraine just to protect their own interests, he obviously has already forgotten about Iraq...
Do you mean that american invasion to Iraq makes russian invasion to Ukraine rightful? You say "just to protect their own interests" by war as something normal and usual.
