Let us consider how you will distribute the continuous nodelist. Do you send the files at the moment they are hatched for all the links or are there links for which you put the files on hold? Even if there are no such links there may be some transient problem on the line between you and some link, so that you will not manage to send the previous nodelist when the new nodelist is hatched. What will your file echo processor will do? Most probably it will overwrite the existing nodelist file with the new one, but will it ovewrite the tic file relating to the existing nodelist? Most probably not. So eventually you will send the new nodelist with its tic plus the old tic without any nodelist. And it may happen there will be several such detached tics without nodelist.
