That happens every time there is an election. If it weren't for that there wouldn't be any traffic in here ... other than the little traffic I have prompted over the past years. Not sure how many years that has been true but definitely many.

Those only kick in when you enter edit mode. The 512 psfu ones are what you see in read mode. That is why the editor doesn't work. Golded+ isn't really compatible with Linux. nano is and that is why when you shell out to it from Golded+ it really works. I have yet to see a decent port of ANY FTN compliant app to Linux. That is why I started taking care of it myself despite all the "why reinvent the wheel?" crap I've heard over the years.

I disagree. I refer to the simplified "squirrel in my pants" repost you did in the LINUX echo as evidence that it doesn't take much to do better than the phoney-baloney hacks they port to Linux from the brain dead OS they port that crap from. ;-)

I am in no rush. I am just waiting for confirmation from the powers that be that they are ready for action. Without that anything I have to say will be a total waste of time, which it probably is anyhow but I prefer confirmation before restarting what I believe requires addressing with respect to FTSC business and the general public which I am one of.

I refer to fts-5003.001 and the CHRS kludge generated by GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20130910 as evidence that there is an issue that should be addressed by the FTSC regarding compliancy to published standards. I believe this statement makes our posts on the matter on-topic in this particular echo.
