Given that the Golded+ source is C then I'd say you'd pretty well much have to do it from scratch. Also I never noticed anything about bitness of the processor for the little research I put into it.

I've had issues with it. However I think if one really needs a nodelist on a *nix based system then creating one for whatever application requiring one shouldn't take much doing. Your pointsystem sounds more promising.
