I am more curious about what you will do when it is demonstrated to you that your software is already broken wrt the CHRS kludge it is reporting with an obsoleted codepage that is putting another codepage's code in the header. If I am indeed guessing about the proper usage of the level parameter and that indeed IBMPC is the same as CP437, then the o dieres in your sent header should have been 0x94 and not 0xf6 which is what I am seeing in your header.
What is the deal with that?
Life is good, Maurice
