Only when you forget to manually remove it. For the record the message I am replying to shows here as "text/plain; charset=utf-8", the same as the one with the 'accidental' BOM. A scanning routine doesn't have to look at CHRS kludge to determine utf-8. It also doesn't care if one cheats or not since utf-8 characters are utf-8 characters no matter what any crippleware might have to say about it. That is the true beauty of it; It cannot be corrupted by any bogus standards ... thank goodness.
Your messages are fine ... so far. All the BOM proves is that there is much cheating going on. No big surprise about that ... is there? ;-)
