I don't really have a dying need to use extended ascii characters, except for the fact that my last name should have an "ë" (e with diaeresis) instead of an "e". I had wanted to learn what I'm actually doing in regards to character sets and codepages before I make a decision to start using it, though.
Damn those people that have funky characters in their names! :)
