how do you figure that it is bogus? it is no different than adding the timezone to an email date stamp... it just happens to reside in another control line...

ml> TZUTC works perfectly for all who use it

in what way? examples, please...

why would you say that? the time stamps are correct for the software generating them... not all software honors user's software generated time stamps... there's no problem with that...

it also depends on what you define as suspicious when it comes to time stamps... no one ever said that a user's offline time stamp must be honored when they upload their offline written mails...

the FTSC doesn't claim anything, AFAIK... the documentation is available... you can easily read what it has to say ;)

ml> fidonet has its own standards created and maintained for its own

MK> Says who?  I have yet to see much evidence to support that theory.

really? if fidonet didn't create and maintain their own standards, then where did all the fidonet technology standards come from?

then you have not been reading for comprehension... we've had this discussion several times over the last decade or two, maurice... you just like yanking chains and stirring the pot :?
