but not for some who highly value the 'proper' spelling of their names...

however, this assumption is not correct... many is the time that i've copied stuff from a web page and pasted it into my editor only to have entire lines go missing because of the way a "strange" character is seen... in some cases, they are seen as control codes for the editor...
