Obviously that isn't the correct answer. There is nothing the FTSC can do to make old software use a proposed standard that is beyong the ability of the software to support. Any software author will tell you that.

That's a possibility, since English is a universal language with many variants in dialect.
If you were holding a discussion about the human ass, then in the dialect that you're using, an ass is refered to as a bum.
In my and Dale's dialect, an ass is an ass or a butt and a bum is a tramp or vagrant. YMMV
