FYI, only the governor of Florida at the time was a relative of the eventual winner. OTH, the Secretary of the State of Florida was the election coordinator and tallier. She is not related to the Bush family, nor married to any of them.
And it was the loser who called for all of those re-counts, which the Florida SC called a halt to, then declared the loser as the winner.
Upon appeal to the USSC, that call was reversed. And frankly, had the lsoer been declared the winner, we would have been in worse trouble when 9/11 came along...I'm glad there was a real man in the WH at the time.
