You obviously don't vote directly for what president you want, you vote for who shall vote for the POTUS, right? So, how "not public" do you really consider the election vote to be?
I totally understand what Ward is trying to say here. Some of you -- not accustomed to the election systems we have in "The Old World" -- seemingly take Wards remark as being yet another Rossian kind of US hate comment.
Most of you Z1 guys, still amongst us in Fidonet, seem to be much more intelligent and critical to what the US government is doing to the world right now, than what a handful of old farts is trying to say.
I trust you all to help us all make Fidonet free of all this "US hatred" accusations and rather join the rest of the Fidonet world in trying to once again make Fidonet the number one choice if you want access to a true, interest free global network.
