Odin Sorensen started Golded somewhere before June 1990. He left Fidonet bij the end of 1999. In 1998 het published the source code and attached an opensource license.

At the moment I do not really care about the correctness of time presentation in Fido messages. It is as broken as windows
I only care that my unix boxes have the correct time.
