It so happens that I have a life outside Fidonet. This is not a full time paid job with 24/7 availability. And you certainly are not my boss who can order me around on a Sunday night.
I choose to go to sleep and let Fido wait till next morning.

Like it or not, Fidonews IS the official publication of the network. It is the logical place for publishing the election results. That it is handled by one of the interested parties is irrelevant. It is also something that we just have to deal with now that our numbers have shrunk to just a handful. It appears unavoidable that we all carry multiple hats.
