But when the names of Rehnquist, Scalia and Thomas appeared it sent shivers.
The Supreme Court is what it is and they must be considered to uphold the highest legal and moral standards, but the aftertaste as viewed from a distance is that they rule along party political lines.
It seems that sort of changed when Roberts became Chief Justice, to me it seemed that Bush never expected he would 'not' be a puppet on a string.
