Disk space.

No - my primary server is dual 3.33GHz Core i7 with 12Gb RAM and 8Tb RAID6 storage. Others have similar configuration.

Over 250000 books, most of which are in Russian, so keeping them in one-byte encoding saves me about 200Gb of disk space.
