There is no disadvantage. Each computer will get it's own IPv6 address. For your server(s), you would just open the appropriate port for that specific IPv6 address instead of a local IPv4 LAN address.
Nothing will cease to work. If anything, it will only make things better for the future. Dual stack will be great until they decide to ditch IPv4 entirely, and if they do this the same way they're enabling IPv6, some people will be IPv6 only while others aren't.. which could lead to problems.. but until then..
