MBSE does not have any specific support for the INO4 flag. In the case of a literal IPv6 address listed in the INA flag, it should attempt to dial using that IPv6 address. If that fails, the node will end up marked undialable after the configured number of attempts.

MBSE's current implementation really doesn't need to use the INO4 flag. It gets address information from the nodelist, or can be overridden by entering a hostname or IP address for the node in the setup program. In the case of a hostname, it is looked up in DNS and a list is built of any AAAA and A records that are returned. Then each entry in the list is tried until a successful session occurs, or the list is exhausted.

The primary purpose of the nodelist is to allow nodes to communicate with each other.
