Alas, back to the on topic issues, but I also feel like congratulating Bill for taking the first step.
In Sweden we have a saying: "föret är alltid trögast i portgången".
Almost impossible to translate to a non-Norse language. It stems from the time when we had horse driven sledges. When we started such a trip there usually wasn't much snow on the court yard (bad "före" or glide), but once we got away from that there usually was a lot of snow.
