The funny thing is that we got the same for internet access. If someone does something illegal using your private internet access it's assumed that you're responsible and you would have to prove that someone else caused the trouble. This started to change a little bit with some current judgements, in case you're sharing the internet access. There are exemptions for providers but still a lot of open questions. For example, if they apply to a shared private open WLAN.
