Well in a way I am reluctant to do so, for the simple reason, that it is as weird a setup as anybodies after 20 years of evolution.
It is based on fidogate without the use of the gateway for the node, binkd as mailer, a directoy linked point system with hpt as tosser and golded. For an outsider a true abomination.

I can live with that, but I want to make a more generic solution. A fairly current setup, would be based current software. that would be:
With minor tinkering and adding some processor dependent compiler options that package does a good job. However, as a debian user I do not agree with where they put the software, so I may want to make adaptions there. There is also some software missing like makenlng.
On my todo list is to create a image with a working fido node, that can either be used as node or as point system. With people asking for an image for the raspberry, priorities change.
Keep on buggering me for a Rasberry Fido node.
