I have been doing that for years, but this time I was thinking of the type you can rent for, let's say 3 Euro's a month and is hosted at some company providing these services.
You have no worries about aging of hardware, or availabillity of the network. Just make sure you have a good backup. No nat routers and probably dual stack for years to come. Network speeds may also be quite generous.
