Hello Björn,

On Wednesday November 26 2014 00:30, you wrote to Kees van Eeten:

There are already mailers around for both Windos and *nix that can do it without that ploy...

How many of those are active?

By the same reasoning Radius or any other popular mailers could have been upgraded to do IPv6 all by itself years ago. That didn't happen either.

I am not taking the bet, as I said, I am a lousy forecaster, I do not know what will happen first. What I do know is that I did not want to wait any longer for someone to fix may favorite mailer so that I did not have to make any significant changes to my configuration to become a member of the Fidonet IPv6 club.

So I took the plunge and went for the "right solution": the mailer that does IPv6 all by itself and if that meant a major system change, so be it.

The major system change gave me an opportunity to do a major system clean up as well. Lots of old, no longer needed stuff went to the bit bucket. I do not regret it.

Cheers, Michiel
