Hello Andrew,

On Tuesday April 21 2015 20:16, you wrote to me:

AFAIK Michiel Broek's MBSE was the first Fidonet mailer to support IPv6. He was hampered in the development because he was the first and there was no one else to test it against. Unfortunately he left Fidonet before the first "official" binkp IPv6 connection was made. Given that here in The Netherlands users had de facto been an extinct species since the late ninetees, I can understand why that last part was not on top of his list of priorities.

The sad news is that he left Fidonet, the good news is that he did not take the source of MBSE with him. I can also understand why adding that particular last part is not on top of your list of priorities either...

Unfornunately we see the same development here too. I am the lucky one, I still have my dumb Motorola surfboard wth my own router, but I expect I won't be able to keep that very long. When Ziggo finally brings IPv6 to my home, I will probably have to accept one of their wireless modem/routers as well.

They say these new modem/routers can be set in bridge mode but then I will have no IPv6 and I won't be able to make use of the shared WiFi net they offer. To make use of other customer's WiFi network, I have to open let my WiFi network to the others and that is not possible with the modem/router in bridge mode...

Cheers, Michiel
