Hello Björn,

On Friday May 29 2015 15:49, you wrote to me:

I could add some juicy comment on that, but I won't, it would be judged as off-topic by the moderator. ;-)

I tried both, but went back to using my provider's DNS server. For reasons that when elaborated on would also be judged off-topic by the moderator. ;-)

Odd. How could Telia DNS be involved at all, unless the caller was a customer of Telia?

MvdV>> Of course this is not a serious problem. Yet...

BF>    ACK that!

IPv4 will be with us for a long time in one form or another. My conservative guess is that everyone using the InterNet will have client IPv4 capability for at least the coming five years. DNS lookup is a client/server thing, so DNS servers/name servers that are only reachable via IPv4 are not a problem yet. The same goes for mail servers.

Having said that: All else being the same, my preference goes to providers offering full IPv6 on all their services...

Cheers, Michiel
