Indeed. And the ping itself is not all that important. "Packet too large messages" are much more important in IPv6.
Are you saying that it is just echo request thatis disabled by default in WIn 7 and that other ICMP traffic is not?

Indeed, but that requires more than the Windows firewall that Paul has on his tunneled IPv6 connection. With that it is all or nothing. Isn't it?
