Coming to tyhink of it, I would say that a modern car needs at least TWO subnets. One for the "entertainment system" and one for the systems that control the driving functis of the car. Those subnets shoukld be rigidly firewallled from each other. One does not want a hacker to meddle with the brakes via the music system do we?
