I see, this may be read in a way I did not intend. I was specifically refering to PING here. For PING, I can only allow or disallow it for the entire LAN.

I can allow inbound access to a given destination for a single port or a range of ports. TCP, UDP or both. I can not selectively open it for other protocols than TCP or UDP.

I can do that by specifying :: as the destination address.
