Hello Markus,

On Friday August 26 2016 15:21, you wrote to Tony Langdon:

My ISP seems to be in the middle of that process... They have been postponing it for years and are now finally starting to catch up. Their main hurdle to take now seems to be CPE. Their core network is IPv6 ready or so the story goes. But contrary to IPv4, they do not yet offer having the modem/router set in bridge mode and let the customer use his own IPv6 router. Not for residential connections anyway. Presently there is just one modem/router that gives residential customers native IPv6; The Ubee EMV321b. I am participating in a beta test for another modem/router, a Cisco. As a prrecaution I did a reboot of the modem/router just before I left home on Tuesday. Murphy saw his chance nevertheless and since then my incoming IPv6 is down. I have an idea how to fix it, but I need physical access and that will not happen until Sunday.

Anyway, it tells you that modem/router is not yet ready for wide spread use.. :-(

It is not just ISP that started too late, it is also the manufacturesr of the CPE that have a lot to cacth up...

Too late for me. I am way past the legal age for retirement. No crumbs to fall my way I am afraid.

Cheers, Michiel
