Actually I like him. And he has a mission.
But not everybody is willing to be as fundamental about IPv6 as him. All taken into account my provider is still providing the best service for the points that matter most to me.
And I will not pay 4 times of what I do now just to get a business service with 1/10 of my current bandwidth but with IPv6 included.
MV> Pity it had to end that way, SixXs has done of lot of good work MV> promoting IPv6, but it seems JM is getting tired of it.
I can understand that.
MV> Any chance of you getting native IPv6 in the foreseeable future?
There are 2 big providers. One has switched to DS-Lite, and you can ask for (quasi static) public IPv4 only.
The other offers dynamic IPv4 and will switch to carrier grade NATv4 _without_ IPv6. (IMHO an insane move ....)
I am with the first one. Works nicely, is plenty fast for me, and very stable.
Mobile companies do not offer IPv6. I could get a DSL line from #2 above and go to a small ISP. Again ... with 1/10th of the bandwidth.
I am happy with my current provider and an IPv6 tunnel. I know people from both providers ... and I talked to them about this. Management does not see it as an issue currently. And for 98% of the people they are right. Until the majority of customers does not see the benefit, and really attacks the ISPs this will not change.
