I have followed the instructions in https://www.sixxs.net/wiki/Raspberry and have found while my BBS system seems to now have an IPv6 address I can not get a report of an open telnet port on that address :(
The IPv6 Gateway address starting with 2001 I added manually this is the address of the Raspberry Pi at present. I also added the IPv6 address of 2001:4428:200:816c:50 as it seems like that address would be accepted when I added a test DNS record of test.agency.bbs.geek.nz but the other 2001 address was not acceptable to the DNS system - I think that's the local subnet address issued by the Radvd system on the Pi?
Not being a network guru I am getting myself confused but I find I can ping both 2001 addresess using http://centralops.net/co/Ping.aspx
So I think I am partially there..
I think I need to alter the Firewall rules metioned in the SixXs wiki to open up port 23 and forward the traffic to the BBS system. But I am not sure of the best commands to add to the ip6tables file. In the end I hope that by make some changes to that file and with the changes I made of giving my BBS system a fixed Ipv6 address of xxx:50 and matching DNS record ... when the ip6tables is configured correctly then all should work accordingly?
If you have any suggestions etc. I'd love to hear from you.
