Well, it may be a European standard, but remember that the Belgians think they are way above any such standard.
They are not even a real country, they are still just a DMZ between the Dutch and the French empires. After all, that's why the EU decided to locate much of their functions to Brussels -- in the DMZ of Europe. 8-)
