Us guys do *not* consider "surströmming" a delicacy. Only parts of the northernmost part of our country does.
We *do* however love all forms of pickled herring. Not to mention the special pickle form of salmon called "gravlax".
If you're lucky, and can afford it, you probably can find it in a well sorted shop somewhere. If not, I'm sure that Michiel (a known fan of my gravlax recipe from Fidonews) will be happy to share a few slices with you.
