WD> Overhere the government would have resigned already.
Normally the British government would have resigned long ago but anyone who succeeds Theresa May is doomed to suffer the same consequences. That's why no-one is forcing a leadership contest or a general election because whoever wins would have a very short political career at the top and condemned to spend the rest of their life in obscurity. Where is the man who got us into this fine mess now?
Interesting point: Boris Johnson will not make any running at the moment because he would like to have a longer career at the top. Out of two names that were suggested a few days ago if Mrs. May *did* resign at this point in time, one was Michael Gove. If Michael Gove were to replace her, albeit temporarily, then that would be a piece of Fidonet history. For the first time, an ex-Fido sysop would become a prime minister!
