No, and Boris knew that they wouldn't. It's because Jeremy Corbyn knows that Labour is made up almost equally of Remainers and Leavers. Whichever side he came down on he would lose the other half.
The atmosphere in the Commons is more angry than anyone has ever known. This is because Boris is deliberately goading them by using inflammatory language (for which he has been rebuked more than once) so that the opposition will lose their tempers and go for a vote of no confidence. He has calculated that this will fragment the opposition and will result in the conservatives getting a bigger majority in a general election. It also means that he will get back the proroguing of parliament which will have to happen if there is to be a general election and the chances are that there will be no time left to devote to Brexit before it happens. It's an example of dirty tricks.
