Sorry, I should have given you the answer I gave in the past which defines it better: Great Britain is a geographical entity whereas the United Kingdom is a political one. Therefore, even if Scotland secedes, Great Britain will still exist in the same form as it is today. (By the way, do you know where Little Britain is?)
In a more jocular vein, if Scotland succeeds in getting independence, I wonder whether we shall then be the Untied Kingdom (sic) (Ha! ha!).
I think I'm the first person to make that joke but I bet I wouldn't be the last! I ought to copyright it!
