Yes, I read about the disk crash. I was also alerted to something being amiss when I couldn't poll for messages. I assumed (wrongly) that you'd changed the port number back to NNTP. Bad luck - but it happens!
I'm sorry, I should have put two and two together and realised that the loss was probably as a result of the disk crash. I mistakenly thought that his first message had gone astray *after* you'd restarted your message base and that the cause had been elsewhere in the chain.
Anyway, I apologise for my thoughtlessness. I don't suppose I missed much from Michiel's message anyway! ;-)
