I think I agree with that. Certainly the commentators are saying that the old loyalties are disappearing, and that is proving to be true even in the die-hard Labour and/or Conservative strongholds. We've seen it in the past here when people have supported the smaller parties but never have we seen Labour supporters coming over to the Conservatives in such large numbers. With our first past the post system (which is iniquitous) it gives the smaller parties no clout whatsoever!

I'm not sure I understand that. Did you mean the Labour voters who voted against their own party?
