I received an email from you this morning asking if you'd got my correct email address.
The answer is yes, but I'm not replying directly to you by email in case it isn't you and is someone trying to harvest my address.
In view of what I've recently written in the Brexit thread concerning personal data, I would hasten to add that this is not the same thing. I am simply trying to avoid my address being added to even more spammers. As it is, my server is inundated with spam daily, most of which is either refused, deleted or put into a spam folder. I can cope.
However, it could still be someone on this echo impersonating you, in which case *they* will now know my email address for whatever purpose they want. Tant pis! One has to trust those within one's friendship group.
Should you wish to email me further, just as a confirmation that it is you, can you tell me whereabouts you lived when in England a few years ago? Not just the town but the area within that town.
I know I'm now just a guest here, but I couldn't help linking it to my more recent contributions to the Brexit thread. Apologies to all if it had nothing to do with that.
