Food shops and supermarkets are being emptied rapidly by selfish people. It started with toilet rolls and now it's just about everything. My local supermarket has brought in a rule that the first hour of opening in the morning, 8 a.m., is reserved for the elderly. I got down there at 8.05 a.m. this morning and already the shelves were half empty! I gather that this is not happening elsewhere in Europe.
