They (or rather Sweden a long time ago) loved it even more, when they found out what the Walloon people knew about iron processing.
We've always had lot of iron ore in Sweden but before we found the experts from Walloon we had no idea about how to make iron ore into highly profitable, world famous Swedish Steel.
The numbers are inconclusive, but they range from 10 to 50 thousand immigrants moving to Sweden. Mostly for religious reasons, but also because they heard in the grape wine that Walloon workers were highly thought of here.
Yeah, well I can seriously say, that most of what Wikipedia has to say about it correlates well with what we are taught in history class over here. 8-)
