I was in radio and telephone communication in the Army ~30 years ago. While I never had the financial ability to get into HAM radio, I do appreciate it.

I can certainly understand that. Frequency space is definitely an expensive prospect.

Ahh yes. I remember those days.  Fun times.

I remember a fairly active Echo back when for Packet radio and Ham Radio.  I followed them for a while.
