In times of IP only, there are no costs argmuments that makes sense to be annoyed, so its obsolete to beeing annoyed by the very first time.
More, your annoying call tests without any transfer of information, are more annoying then the new or returning sysop thats system is online but requires some updates to get it stable in a way you and me wishes.
"the annoying call tests" .... I've also started a test over a 4 weeks period back in 2003 ... but this was a limited test scenario to get an overview how many of the listed pointlist bossnodes are still active.
If you're start testing over a week once a year, I have no problems with. But continously unconditional tests of all nodes I think its annoyes me .... but as said in 9.1 (2) I'm not to easily annoyed ...
Like Stahinja, he contacted my system by the mailer successfully ... I've received netmails. All what wasn't still fixed, was the firewall rule for the binkp. First he uses the mailbox built-in binkp sender .... this was a one-way transfer. so we've worked together day by day to get the other direction working too.
Same problem is with another node, sitting on hold, 'cause its a one-direction connection ... I'm in contact with him, to get it fixed ... but this may take some days
